Mac OS maintains Trash folder for storing deleted data. This folder is always present on the right edge of Dock in your Mac PC. When a user clicks on dock’s Trash icon, contents in this folder appear in a special window labeled Trash. If you delete a file intentionally or accidentally from Mac OS, these files move to the Trash folder. This folder acts a temporary area of storage for your deleted data. Whatever you delete from your system like file, folder, program files etc are moved directly to the Trash folder in Mac OS. The physical location of the deleted data is always present in Trash folder from where you can restore data back when you need. For instance, consider a deleted file from your PC about four to five months back and if you want to restore that data back from Trash folder there is no assurance that file is still available in the Trash folder. During the period of these four to five months, you might have deleted many files from your PC and that particular file might not exist in Trash folder. When Trash folder is going to reach maximum storage capacity, new deleted data is replaced with old deleted data. This folder maintains certain storage capacity on the hard drive where deleted data is stored on first come first out basis. This folder allocates space for recently deleted data and permanently deletes old data from folder. In this situation, you have to make use of proficient tool to recover deleted files on Mac.

To restore deleted data back from Trash folder, you can simply drag and drop it to the desired location. Emptying Trash removes deleted files, folders etc that are stored in it from your computer. When you want to utilize disk space, you may try to empty it. A warning appears before emptying this folder. You can avoid from getting this type of warning by unchecking option “show warning before emptying Trash” available in Finder->Empty Trash. Now, the deleted files are deleted permanently without moving to the Trash folder. In some cases, you may empty Trash accidentally or intentionally thinking that you have taken backup for important data. If backup is not available then deleted data is lost from your PC. Before deleting a file using Command + Del key, a conformation dialog box appears on your system asking whether you want to delete a file. This warning gives a second chance to recheck whether you are deleting correct file or not. You can even delete sensitive information, which you do not want any more using Secure Empty Trash option. This option overwrites the space previously occupied by the deleted files and folders.

Remo Recover (Mac)-Basic edition recovers deleted or lost files, folders from Mac OS X volumes even after emptying Trash. This utility easily locates and recovers files from missing or deleted volumes using in built advanced scanning algorithm. This tool recovers files from accidentally formatted Mac volumes. When you download demo version of the tool, it allows you to preview recovered data before restoring it.

I downloaded a new application from the internet some days back and later understood that along with the application, I had also downloaded a Trojan Virus into my PC. At first, a very small number of my files were affected, but when I restarted the computer, the affected files had moved out along with some other files. I don’t know if these files have been deleted fully, or if there is still likelihood of them being recovered. If the files can be retrieved using any Undelete Tool, please help me out with the right method to recover the deleted and lost files.

Files getting erased due to Trojan Virus like the one mentioned by you is common. Most of the files deleted or lost due to human mistakes, and deleting or losing files due to virus attack is coming second. Whatever be the case, there is no need for the user be anxious or worry about the lost files, because, an effective and steady Undelete software can retrieve deleted photos, lost files or any other data.

Undelete tool is the best suited software that you can make use of, under the given conditions. The software has been specially designed to recover files deleted using the Shift+Delete keys, files deleted from the Recycle Bin, files deleted using the Command Prompt, and files deleted using the Move or Cut command. The software supports recovery of deleted and lost files from both fixed and external hard drives, as well as flash memory cards of all types.

Hard drives, removable storage devices like CD, thumb drives and memory cards are the different types of storage devices used to store files. However stored files are not very secure in any of this devices data loss may happen due to different reasons like file system corruption, hard drive failure, accidental deletion of partitions or drive, formatting of the drive or partition, memory cards, virus attack, power fluctuation or human errors. Any of the above reason many cause you stored data disappear from the hard drive.

If you are deleting a files using Delete command the files do not gets deleted completely from the hard drive it can easily recovered from recycle bin. Whereas if you delete file using Shift+Delete keys the files gets deleted bypassing the recycle bin. In this condition if you want to restore deleted files you need a good undelete software to undelete lost files from hard drive. Similarly for Mac Operating system to undelete the deleted files you need to use Mac file recovery utility.

Restore of deleted files depends on the usage of the hard dive. Steps need to be followed before recovering:

Stop using the hard drive immediately for further uses until you recover deleted files from it.

Do not try to install any new data recover software to the drive. It gets overwritten your old files by new files.

Do not attempt to restart your hard drive this could to lead to permanent data loss from drive.

choose a good undelete software to undelete deleted files. Check preview option is available with the software before saving recovered files.

Check the utility is capable to recover files deleted from recycle bin.

Download the freeware trial version of the software to validate the ability of the software.

When you reinstall Windows 2008 on a SCSI drive there are many things that happen. However you should probably first understand how files get deleted on your SCSI drive. When you delete a file or even when you format your drive the files get marked as “re-writable.” While they might appear to be deleted and permanently gone forever to you as the user, they are still intact. This is how the majority of storage devices work and it’s what allows REMO to be able to access your files even when they have been deleted or formatted. REMO can perform NTFS file recovery, SCSI data recovery and it can even operate to recover FAT32 partitions. With these options available to you the possibilities are endless. Thankfully, as long as you have no written over your older files everything that was stored on the SCSI drive previously should still be located by REMO.

When you reinstall Windows 2008 over the top of an existing installation, all of the original files get copied to the hard drive and then certain areas within the installation are reset to standard Windows settings that are provided as default settings. These settings essentially turn your installation into the condition it was when your install was fresh. Most of the time when you install Windows the Documents and Settings folder is erased and everything is deleted. However, as long as the deleted files are not overwritten they will be recoverable. Everything else on your SCSI drive should be recoverable as well. Less fragmented files and data on larger disks are more easily restored but that does not eliminate the possibility from other disks.

There are times when your computer may display a “Missing operating system” error during startup. This error usually occurs, when there are errors relating to the boot loader or the boot files. Though the data on your system is inaccessible, in reality, all the data is still present on the hard drive and can be recovered, if the recovery process is done in the right manner.

The problem is usually with the Volume Boot Record better known as VBR, which contains details about the various partitions on the hard drive. Damage to the VBR means loss of essential data required for accessing the data on the hard drive. This could occur due to virus attacks, malware, improper shutdown of the system etc. The only way you could get around this issue, is by formatting the whole drive. This would result in loss of data, and you would then require a Windows data recovery software to retrieve data from hard drive.

There is a method available to get back the lost data, by rebuilding the corrupted Volume Boot Record. This is a complex method, and involves many steps that have to be performed carefully. Not only this, there is no assurance that you can recover all the lost data. It is therefore advised that you make use of a good crashed hard drive recovery software to recover data from formatted hard drive.

REMO Recover (Windows) Pro Edition software is a powerful recovery software, designed for systems that run on Windows O.S. The software performs a scan on the affected hard drive and recovers the lost files and folders from both NTFS and FAT partitions.

There are instances when the whole system has crashed, and all the data present on the hard drive has got affected. This usually occurs, when the whole file system has got corrupted, and none of the files and records including the Master Boot Record is inaccessible. In such extreme cases of data loss, you need to get a disk image of the entire hard disk, so that data can be retrieved from it at a later stage.

Creating a disk image essentially means making a carbon copy of all the data on the hard drive including the file system records and system files. This is usually done by copying bit by bit information from the affected hard drive onto a trusted and safe location. But, this has to be done using a good disk recovery software, as improper methods and low quality data recovery software could cause permanent loss of data.

It is therefore suggested, that you make use of REMO Recover (Windows) Pro Edition software. This data recovery software comes with an in built option, using which you can create the disk image of a given hard drive. The created disk image can be saved at a safe location, and then later be used to recover files that have been lost or deleted.

REMO Recover is a highly effective data recovery software that has been developed by professionals in the field who understand your need to find lost data. However, you might be unaware of the features that the software can provide you with. REMO Recover is suitable for all sorts of data recovery and this includes finding and restoring lost data, lost files, photos, and even recovering lost or deleted partitions on your hard drive. REMO Recover is also designed for easy restoring of lost files, and to recover files that have been deleted.

Knowing which type of data recovery you should use with REMO Recover might be a little confusing to you. Well there are four options available and if you can remember what type of file/folder it is that you are looking to recover, you should be all set to recover your data very easily.

Firstly, if you know that you deleted some data and you are sure that it was a regular file or folder, you can use the Recover Deleted Data option to help you locate and recover deleted files. Whether you accidentally deleted them, or maybe you hit the Shift + Delete keys together on accident and it happened by chance, this is the option that you will want to use.

The second option is the Recover Lost File option, which is going to be what you will use if you just can’t remember where you placed your file or folder. This option of REMO Recover will trace the lost file, locate it using an advanced file search method, and then allow you to restore it.

You can use the Recover Photo option to recover photos audio and video files that you accidentally deleted or lost. This application is found in the Media Edition of the software.

Finally, the Recover-Advanced option which is included in the Pro edition of this disk recovery software lets you to recover a lost or deleted partition on your hard drive.

Most of us face data loss situation where our important document, report, or even the contents of an entire memory card will suddenly cease to exist. Computer data can get corrupted, deleted, damaged or sometimes just seem to disappear. Fortunately, in many cases, recovering the lost data is possible with the help of consistent data recovery software or with the help of a qualified computer technician.

Physical Damage

Electronic components are delicate and can be quite unpredictable. In fact, most people’s first experience with document loss comes from a scratched CD or DVD, causing the audio or visual to skip. This is due to physical damage that can be difficult and in some cases impossible to retrieve. The electronic device will have to be fixed by hand and by an expert, as even the smallest traces of dust can destroy fragile parts. Repair of physical damage can involve replacing and repairing corrupted parts.

Logical Damage

Though the files are saved, sudden crashes and power surges can cause unusual storage and document loss problems that you might not even notice until days later. If you do experience a sudden crash, or even an unwanted virus, it is important to scan your computer immediately following to check for any hidden problems. We even lose data due to accidental deletion, formatting or reformatting the storage device and so on. Just because you accidentally pressed delete, formatted or your system crashed, don’t give up hope. Data recovery after reformat, deletion or any reason for that matter is common and can be quite successful.

Once data loss has been discovered, we need to identify the problem whether it is a physical or logical failure. Whether the data loss has occurred due to physical failure then you need to consult data recovery experts who are better equipped to deal with such matters. And if it is logical failure case then you need to do research for the best data recovery software before proceeding.

Recovery of lost data from complex data-loss situation like drive re-partitioning and re-formatting is possible with Remo Recover (Windows) Pro Edition software. The software lets you recover all the data lost after formatting the drive, with utmost ease.

The term “crash”, when applied to a hard drive, can indicate one of many problems that result in the drive being rendered unusable. There are many symptoms that the computers exhibit, before they crash. Some of the common symptoms can be summarized as follows,

PCs with hard drives that are about to fail, slow down considerably, and have common startup problems. These hard drives may also not start up in the first place giving rise to more troubles.

These PCs that are about to fail may also show some error messages. These might not be related to hardware always, but sometimes they are also related with software issues.

We can take an immediate backup of the entire hard drive, and prevent data loss as soon as we notice these symptoms. But, if we are not quick in reacting, we might end up losing some valuable data, at least for a brief period of time, if not permanently. This is because; you can recover hard drive data, from a crashed hard drive, until it has been overwritten by some new data.

REMO Recover (Windows) Pro Edition software lets you recover hard drive that has crashed, in its complete form, without any missing data. You can recover hard drive data, and also recover all the data from the missing partitions on your hard drive, using this software.

We commonly associate an ISO file or ISO image with copying of CDs and DVDs. A bit by bit copy of a CD or a DVD is usually called an ISO image file. These ISO files are usually created using CD burning software like Nero which create, edit, and extract CD or DVD image files, then convert the extracted image to an ISO file, easily allowing users to burn an exact copy of the original onto CD or DVD.

We usually burn CDs and DVDs to take a backup of all the data present on our hard drives, so that we can make use of them when we face a data loss situation. The irony though is that we sometimes lose the ISO file itself, and hence are left helpless. In such cases it is advised that you avoid trying any ‘Do it yourself’ methods, which might lead to permanent erasure of data, and go for a good data recovery software that can recover data from ISO image.

It is recommended that you use REMO Recover (Windows) Pro Edition software, to recover data from ISO image. The software lets you recover data from missing partitions, and in addition to that lets you create a disk image of the hard drive.
